Players Championship

Sorry to be so late on this. My intentions were good. I just let work get in the way. Amazing how that happens!!

I was very lucky this year to be able to go to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla and attend the Players Championship the last 3 days! Wow!! What a “first class” event! They always get a great field for this Tournament and we got to see almost all of the players upclose and personal. Watching them drive off the tee’s is amazing. You forget how long they hit….the ball just sails through the air. The course was in beautiful shape and the greens (Florida had been very dry up until last week) were like lightening! Seemed to give most of the players some challenges.

The weather was very warm (especially if you are used to living in Newport Beach) in the 90’s with very little air moving in many places.  A little bit of humidity too 🙂 #17 is one of my favorite holes and one of the most difficult. It is ranked as on the most beautiful finishing holes on the tour.

The new (last couple years) Club House is so beautiful and really adds to the over all beauty of the event. They did have a tent set up with a hole like # 17 and if you got it in the hole you won and IPOD touch. OK…..so, I need some practice. Even the young kids were doing better. Better luck next time, Sue!!

If you ever have the opportunity to go to this Tournament….I highly recommend it. There is a Marriott right there and lots of beautiful golf course and beaches. And homes are really on sale!

What a great Masters!!

The Masters truly is a wonderful Tournament. And how exciting to have a 3 way playoff. Many of us wish Tiger had been in the playoff, but they were all deserving. And I know Angel was one happy man at the end of the day and 2 extra holes.

Did you see how beautiful the course looked? The green green grass and the beautiful flowers made for a pretty site. On Wed. for the Par 3 contest, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player were in the same 3 some. Wouldn’t that be somethig to see? My father used to go to the Master’s every year and come back with some great stories.

Speaking of homes with golf course views (tricky how I led into that, wasn’t it??) I saw a beautiful custom home today that overlooks Shady Canyon golf course and the hills and valleys in Irvine, Ca.  The home, according to the builder, is 12,000 square feet (and I believe it) and the lot is 25,266. 4 bedrooms and 7 baths. All bedrooms are suites with heated floors in the bathrooms. The pool is beautiful and wraps around the side of the house. It has a spa and a waterfall and beautiful rock formations. It looks like it should be in a magazine. Actually…..the entire home does!

And…..all for the amazing price of $10,850,000.

Stay tuned for more exciting golf and beach properties coming soon. Have a Great Day, Sue
